Oh you can't reorder it. Still have to Animal Crossing Bells exchange for it or get it from Gulliver however I got about halfway through this until I realized I could trade for the popular colored ones and personalize it. Hopefully it's possible to save some bells
You've got to allow the NFC attribute on the app, choose your .bin file, then connect the phone to your switch as the main controller (I used it as a Pro Controller). It is very important to empower it as your main, it won't work if your actual joy-cons are running the series. Anyhow, I just tested it on ACNH, but when I opened the Amiibo Camper option on the ATM, it discovered the"amiibo" immediately.
I'm not 100% sure how this program does it, but the change uses Bluetooth to communicate when the joycons are in wireless mode, so as long as the right protocol and controls for the change are utilized, any Bluetooth transmitter should have the ability to communicate using a switch
